ILL....

Can’t front. Cameos is crazy. He even got shorty from:

LMAO!

Enjoy:

Quincy Jones though? Damn

Nike Vintage Blazer and Clark Wallabee....

The only Nike (other than 1/2 cents) that I want BADLY. Damn you Nike. Damn you to hell. There you go Wale and Dan, I broke…smh.

I love them. Red and blue are ideal for me, green, if and only if I got some cheese to spare and thats rare. The suede feels sooooo good, the vintage treatment make such a simple shoe speak volumes! Cant beat a classic.

Now available at Commonwealth both locations.

Now I honestly didnt think I would like this variation. You have Clarks in the Wallabee style, in an uncommon white colorway, followed by lazer etched print on the side panels, grey suede trimming/accents, and perf on the toe panel…WOW. With all of that being said, these shits are ILL!

those and the Converse x Staple Pigeon Sea Star are available at For The Greater Good

Power Shift 2009...

Powershift 09

February 27th – March 2nd, 2009

If you’re looking at some free time (and change to spare for registration $40 – 80)  during these dates, check out Powershift ‘09 at the Washington Convention Center.

We want politicians to stand up to the dirty energy lobby and pass the energy and climate policies we truly need.  We expect the politicians we elected in November to listen to what science is telling us and act immediately to reduce emissions, create jobs and re-engage globally to tackle the climate and economic crises.

This positive social/political cause consists of connecting with local organizers, politicians, and other community leaders, career fairs, panels and workshops, and speakers and performers in relation to energy and economic issues.

And if none of that interests you, The Roots and Santigold will be performing at this event.

The Boat Shoe Resurgence...

In the recent months we have seen the increasing popularity of the boat shoe, which poses no surprise because it is a classic silhouette. Various brands have taken inspiration from the archetypal profile and have really produced some dope pieces.

Sperry Top-Sider has consistently delivered the classic boat shoe and has the industry going nuts with collaborations (ie Band of Outsiders, J. Crew, etc…) and exceptional styles that seem disappear once they reach the sights of style message boards (superfuture). For The Greater Good has one of the doper models in stock, a Chukka model, that are in a consistent high demand and not sold at most Sperry stockists. Last week, the Compass Show in Vegas debuted some of the upcoming Sperry’s, which, I must say, have really caught my eye.

The tweed deck shoe is a must have!

Thoughts?...

Here is a pic of a cartoon in yesterdays New York Post by artist, Sean Delonas.

It saddens me to see such distasteful things coming out in today’s day in age. Just when I thought we were msking strides in the right direction. And the New York Post found no reason to apologize for releasing the cartoon. Big SMH

What do ya’ll think?

Diet Bitcher Slim Skin....

Founded in 1997, Tokyo based Diet Butcher Slim Skin made its 1st appearence for me almost a year and some change ago via. Superfuture. Not knowing to much history from the brand, it started to pop up frequently on most of the fashion based sites that focus on contemporary high end. Not  really my own personal style, but the brand in my eyes follow a very classic ”punk” inspired aesthetic with high detail and craftsmen ship paying more attention to slimmer fitting garments. Above all, I love their approach at an high-top sneaker. Their is a very distinctive look that Diet Butcher follows which makes their line stand out! Its a rough market and definitely NOT for everybody. Though their high-top sneaker is a bit pricey, definitely does not take away from the appeal. With the inside zipper, the extended lacing system, ankle padding, tonal patent leather, and very sleek and simple silhouette…I love it and wouldn’t mind having a pair. Not something I would gravitate towards daily, but i cannot argue with something that’s executed properly (in my opinion ofcourse). I could even see a specific type of female making a serious statement with these, completely shitting on competitors.

Both colors for me please!

available over at Oki-ni
